A royal source has just come forward to open up about the “strained” relationship Prince Charles has with his two sons, Prince William and Prince Harry.

The source said that the problems between the father and his sons stems from the fact that Charles “just doesn’t get on” with William, 36, and Harry, 33.

“They are very different people and they just don’t get on. It’s as simple as that,” the source explained. “They rarely see each other outside of official business.”

The source went on to say that Charles “hates” William and Harry’s “emoting” in public. The brothers have been known to speak openly about various issues such as their mother Princess Diana’s death and mental health. Last year, they opened up about Diana’s death for a documentary.

“I think it’s never going to be easy for the two of us to talk about our mother, but 20 years on seems like a good time to remind people of the difference that she made not just to the royal family but also to the world,” Harry said.

William added that they wanted to “stand up for her name.”

“We feel we at least owe her 20 years on to stand up for her name and remind everybody of the character and person that she was,” William continued.

Despite their reportedly strained relationship, the brothers praised their father in that interview.

“One of the hardest things for a parent to have to do is to tell your children that your other parent has died,” Harry said. “How you deal with that I don’t know. But, you know, he was there for us. He was the one out of two left and he tried to do his best and to make sure that we were protected and looked after. But, you know, he was going through the same grieving process as well.”

Are you surprised by reports that William and Harry don’t get along with their father, or were you expecting this? Let us know in the comments section.
