Members of the Fusion Fighters were all nerves during the Irish Dance World Championship, but you wouldn’t know with the impressive performance they did. They’d spent months practicing their routine and they shined on stage.

The group walks onto the stage after shaking off their fears and then waits patiently for the music to begin. Within moments everyone is stomping and stepping to the beat.

No one could believe their eyes. Their Irish dancing truly shows their country’s rich history, as dancing was used as a form of merriment and celebration in years past.

While history records very little dancing, pieces from the 17th century indicate that dancing was an essential part of Irish culture at the time. Decades later, hundreds of dance troupes formed and people from all over came to form the groups.

The groups traveled from city to city spreading cheer and dancing on bar tops. Now the dancing is a popular way to honor the Irish heritage and history.

That is why the Fusion Fighters formed, to highlight their roots. The members say they wanted to bring a modern touch to something that had an old-fashioned style, and boy did they accomplish that.

They have preserved traditions while evolving the moves for a modern audience. They are known for their fast footwork and eye-catching acts. Check out their performance in the video below and be sure to share it with your family and friends. They won’t want to miss it.
