A 77-year-old woman from Wirral, U.K. headed to the ATM to withdraw money. What she didn’t know is that a trio of men young men would attack her at the ATM. But she proved to them just who was in danger.

Winifred says she noticed a person walk up behind her, then before she could react, two other men pulled her off balance while the third one reached over her and tried to withdraw 200 euros.

Winifred quickly reacted. She wasn’t about to let them drain all of her money from her account. She grabbed the man by the collar and slammed his head into the machine. She knocked his head into the machine three times before the other robbers were scared away.

Next, she placed a call to the police who were lucky enough to nab the robbers later in the day. Winifred proved that grandparents aren’t the people to mess with after all.
