A Good Samaritan from Texas is being hailed as a hero after he risked his life to stop an elderly woman who was driving the wrong way down the highway.

Thomas Prado was stunned when he saw a 94 year-old woman driving a white Chevrolet Impala down the wrong way down US-227, and he immediately knew that he had to do something. Taking the situation into his own hands, Thomas drove the wrong way himself and chased her down. He thought about putting his transit van in front of her vehicle to stop her vehicle, but he ended up being able to get her to pull over before he had to do that.

“I felt someone was in danger, or didn’t know the potential danger that they could be in,” Thomas said. “[I just felt] like it was the right thing to do.”

Thomas admitted that what he did “probably [weren’t] the safest nor smartest,” but he sure did end up stopping what could have been a major catastrophe.

“Moral of this all is something I’ve said in my post before: look after your elderly family, friends, or neighbor,” he wrote on Facebook. “I’m no hero, I’m a sinner and mistake maker like you, but I saw the right thing to do and so can you.”

Thank God, Thomas was on hand to put a stop to this situation before someone could get hurt! We need more brave people like him in the world.
