Sleep is something that everyone desperately needs, which is why it’s so unfortunate that millions of Americans struggle to get enough hours of sleep. The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) has stated that one in five people in the United States experience a form of sleeping disorder or sleep deprivation.

Now, a new remedy is being presented that will surely be able to help people get more sleep, and it’s banana tea!

Not only are bananas full of potassium, it is also full of magnesium, which helps to regulate the body’s circadian rhythm. This means that it effectively controls how we fall asleep and wake up.

This banana tea recipe comes from Dr. Oz, and it calls for 100% organic bananas.

The only ingredients that you need to make this are 1 organic banana, 1 small pot of water (enough for a regular-sized mug), and a dash of cinnamon. First, boil a pot of water and cut both ends of the banana off before placing the unpeeled fruit in the boiling water. Once the banana has boiled, grab a strainer or colander and pour the liquid into a mug. The last step is placing the dash of cinnamon into the tea for flavor, and enjoy!
