Any dog owner knows that these animals have a unique set of strategies that they use to communicate with us humans. That’s why we’ve compiled some of the most common methods that dogs use to communicate!

Hanging out the window

This is extremely common, and it is the dog’s way of saying that she is enjoying her surroundings and the plethora of scents out the window.

Couch trashing

If you come home to find that your dog has trashed your couch, it’s a sign that the animals have separation anxiety. To help your pet get over this, take the time to walk her and get some of her energy out before you leave her alone.

Staring

If your dog is blankly staring at you, she’s not trying to be creepy! Instead, she just wants your affection.

Straight pointed tail and forward ears

This means that your dog is curious about something in his environment, and he’s trying to play detective to figure out what is going on!

Crazy Legs/Dead Bug

If your dog is sleeping in this position, which resembles a dead bug, it means that she is vulnerable and submissive. Dogs sleep like this when they are laid back and secure in their surroundings.

The Superman

If a dog is sprawled out on her belly, it means that she is an energetic animal who has just crashed. Puppies often sleep like this, as the position allows them to jump back up and play when they are ready to awaken.
