The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are two of the most famous couples in the world. While the rest of us address them by their royal titles, it should come as no surprise that they address each other far more informally. In fact, it has just been revealed that the two royal couples have adorably embarrassing nicknames for each other when they are in private!

Prince William and Kate Middleton

When Prince William and Kate Middleton introduced their son Prince George to the world in 2013, the Duke of Cambridge was overheard calling his wife “poppet.” Since they got married in 2011, William has also been heard calling Kate “darling” or “babe.”

Back when they were only dating, William was heard calling Kate “baby” and “babykins.”

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle

For many years, Prince Harry used the alias “Spike Wells” to make a Facebook account so he could interact with his friends without being noticed by the public. As a result, Meghan Markle and many of their friends still call him “Spike” to this day!

Harry’s nickname for Meghan is “Meg.” He was heard calling out “Meg” to get her attention at the an Invictus Games reception last year. Meanwhile, Meghan’s former agent Gina Nelthorpe-Cowne recently revealed that the Duchess of Sussex likes to call Harry “Haz.”
