Amanda Sarpinati was just three months old when she rolled off of a sofa and fell into a steaming vaporizer. She was burned and scalded and as she grew she had to undergo several reconstructive surgeries on her skin.

It was 1977 when Amanda was taken to Albany Medical Center for her burns. Her nurse was Sue Berger and she instantly took the bandaged girl into her arms to comfort her from some of the agonizing pain.

When Amanda was discharged, the only thing she had left of the amazing nurse was a photo. Amanda was determined to find the nurse and thank her for the unconditional compassion and kindness she shared with the little girl.

Bullies took advantage of her burns and tormented her while she was growing up. That’s why the caring woman mattered so much to her. Amanda finally posted on social media in hopes of finding the woman, and luckily, it didn’t take long to find her.

Check out the video of their reunion and be sure to share this heartwarming moment with your family and friends.
