With her daughter’s wedding just weeks away, Sarah Ferguson is undoubtedly looking back on her romance with ex-husband Prince Andrew. The duo shared a rocky 13-year marriage, but despite all their troubles, she seems to maintain a steadfast devotion to him.

Princess Eugenie, the youngest daughter of their daughters, will be tying the knot on October 12, and there has been plenty of speculation about how the royal family will handle relations with the ex-royal on the big day.

There has reportedly been plenty of animosity between Prince Phillip and Sarah. Even so, the Duchess of York has had nothing but good things to say about her wedding day in 1986.

Fergie, as she is known to many, recently opened up to Piers Morgan about how she felt on the historic day. She says the instant transformation to being a royal was nothing short of mesmeric.

“Like every bride’s wedding day, it’s a special day. And you’ve got a beautiful dress on. But you’re standing there with the man you love,” she said. “And there are people out there who are wishing you so well. And it’s just extraordinary. It’s just unfathomable. You can’t explain it.”

Fergie went on to say that the icing on the cake amid all the excitement was that she was marrying the man of her dreams. It’s amazing how clearly she remembers everything from the special day.
