One Russian politician is getting a lot of attention these days, but it’s not the amazing things she’s done for the country that people are talking about. Valentina Petrenko has shocked the world with her bigger than life hair!

The 62-year-old legislator has been a member of Russian’s Federation Council since 2001, and has helped negotiate the release of children held hostage at a school. Unfortunately, those aren’t the things that people online are talking about.

People in her native Russia have been familiar with Petrenko’s hair for years, but she’s just now becoming a star around the world. Her stardom might not be for the right reasons though. Comments online about her hair haven’t exactly been positive.

One post showing her hair commented “Has anyone checked Russian senator Valentina Petrenko’s hair for poison, listening devices, bots? There could be a ton of sh*t in that hairdo.”

Another post commented that there weren’t enough hair pins in the world to be able to make their own hair stand up like the permed style of Petrenko’s hair do. Petrenko has commented that she’s tired of her hair taking the center stage and she’s tired of people asking her about it.

Maybe it’s time for a new do if she’s really tired of her hair being the center stage instead of her political actions. What do you think?
