On a recent episode of the show “American Pickers,” hosts Mike Wolfe and Frank Fritz came upon an amazing piece of music history.
The antique hunters were deep in the woods of Chesterfield, Massachusetts, which is located about 100 miles West of Boston, when they found the 1964 Harvester Metro van that was the legendary rock band Aerosmith’s first tour bus in the 1970s.
Aerosmith founding member Ray Tabano confirmed that this was indeed the original van!

The owner of the land where the van was found said that the vehicle had been there since he bought the property from someone who had a connection to Aerosmith. Wolfe and Fritz paid the owner $25,000 to purchase the land from him.
After 45 years rusting away in woodland near Chesterfield, Massachusetts, US, Aerosmith’s first tour van (1970-73) has been found & featured in an episode of US TV’s ‘American Pickers’.
