With the lip sync challenge spreading its way across the U.S. and the internet, police officers from around the country have shown that not only are they tough guys and gals protecting our communities but they also know how to let loose and have fun.

Departments all over have been participating in the challenge with different themes that including singing, dancing, and much more. The one thing they all have in common? The ability to bring a smile to our faces.

So when the Nixa Police Department in Missouri decided to join the challenge, they decided they wanted everyone who watched to get up and put on their dancing shoes, and you will definitely want to do just that.

They danced and lip synced to the epic song “Footloose” and it isn’t just the police department that gets in on the dancing action. It looks like the entire community might have stepped in beat to the music too.

The police department was quick to say though, that no production company and none of the department’s budget was used to create the film. All of the officers donated their time to participate.
