Having a seizure is scary whenever it happens, but it is especially terrifying when you are behind the wheel of a car.

Most people are able to pull over when they are dealing with some sort of health issue, but for the driver in this video, the seizure came on too fast for him to have time to react. Randy Tompkins, 39, noticed the man swerving dangerously through some red lights in Dixon, Illinois, and he immediately knew something was wrong. Randy was driving his truck on the other side of the road when he noticed what was happening.

“He had his arms up by his chest, I didn’t know if the guy was gonna push the gas, jerk the wheel or whatever, so I waited as long as I could to back up,” Randy recalled.

Randy reversed his truck, got out, and ran for the driver.

“Once he got about a half-car length away from me, I parked my truck at an angle and jumped out of my vehicle,” he recounted. “I was worried, but I would do that for anybody. It just happened to be I was at the right place at the right time.”

Once he got to the car, Randy leaped through the open window of the front seat, even though the car was still moving. He took to Facebook afterwards to reveal what happened to his friends and family.

“Wow I just saved this guy’s life in the blue car i jumped in his car he was having a seizure at the wheel the cops said they saw me jump in his window like Dukes of Hazzard it was crazy I saw him coming at me so I backed up real fast to the side and jumped out and jumped in his car to stop it wow my adrenaline is still going,” Randy wrote.

We applaud Randy for doing whatever it took to save this man’s life! Check out the harrowing video below, and SHARE this story so your friends and family can see this as well!
