When most people think of elderly folks, they assume that they like peace and quiet. Now, however, a story is going viral about two elderly men who like anything but that!
Two elderly men just escaped from their nursing home in Germany last week to attend the Wacken Open Air music festival. Police found the two men at around 3am at “the Metal Mecca” after nursing home employees called them to report the two as missing.
Police said that the two men were “disoriented and dazed,” when found, but that they were in good spirits otherwise. The festival included bands like Judas Priest, Vince Neil, and hundreds of others.
“They obviously liked the metal festival,” said police spokeswoman Merle Neufeld. “The care home quickly organized a return transport after police picked them up.”
„Assisted wacken. No discrimination of seniors“
Of course not, we might add. Because you’re never too old too rock. #wacken #metalfamily #respect #buildingbridges https://t.co/szE7iQ7BWY

“We had to explain to them why they had to go home,” added Itzehoe police spokesman Peter Berndt. “But in the end, they went back voluntarily.”
This was the 29th annual festival at Wacken, and it was attended by over 75,000 people. No wonder these two elderly men did not want to miss it!
This just goes to show that you’re never too old to love a good party! Find out more about this in the video below, and SHARE this story so that your friends and family can see this as well!
