Checking out at a crowded supermarket can be a stressful experience, as everyone behind you in line wants you to be as quick as possible so that they can get out of there. This experience can be made all the more frenetic when you get to the checkout station only to realize that you are short on cash.
This is exactly the situation that young mother Katie Kanefke of Sioux Falls, South Dakota found herself in during a recent trip to Walmart. Luckily, just as things on her checkout line were getting heated, an angel swooped in to save Katie!

This angel was Carol Flynn, who was wearing a zebra print jacket and was in line behind Katie. Carol had watched Katie checking out with her young son and had noticed most of the items she was purchasing were diapers and other necessities for the child. Since the diapers were on sale, Katie grabbed as many of them as she could, and it was only when she went to check out that she realized she didn’t have enough money to buy them.
The total ended up being over $100, and though Katie needed the diapers for her children, she did not have the money to purchase them.

The cashier explained that Katie had been mistaken and that the diaper sale was only for one pack, not for all of the diapers. Katie became flustered and distraught as people behind her in line started to get visibly impatient with her.
That’s when Carol swooped in.
A mother herself, Carol understood what Katie was going through, so she stepped up and volunteered to pay the difference in price. Katie was floored by Carol’s act of kindness, and the moment quickly went viral! Carol herself didn’t think much of her act of generosity, as she thinks any other mother would have done the same thing!
