When one Massachusetts police officer made his final radio call, it was an emotional scene for everyone involved. This send off, however, was a little more amazing than some of the others you’ve seen and heard.
Officer Duane Ledoux signs off on his final radio call on June 25 for serving 33 years on the Southbridge Police Department. First the police chief, Shane Woodson, thanked Ledoux for his service, then a special voice comes across the radio.
It didn’t take long for Officer Ledoux to realize the voice he’s hearing as it floats through the airways. “It is my sincere pleasure to announce that on this day, after 32.5 years of service,” the voice says.

The voice coming through the radio is his son Nate, who flew all the way across the country to surprise his father on his final day with the police department. The bond the two share is nothing short of amazing, but you have to watch the video below to find out why.
You don’t want to miss this amazing video, but be sure to grab a few tissues first, and don’t forget to share it with your family and friends.
