As the parents to three young children, Prince William and Kate Middleton rarely get a night out on the town. That’s why it came as a pleasant surprise last week when the two were spotted out dancing during their vacation to Mustique.

William and Kate were seen at the reopening of the legendary Basil’s Bar on Mustique. The event was also attended by Mick Jagger and his daughter Jade.

A source said that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge went “dancing on a Mustique date night” and attended “on the early side” of the party.

“They were there for the cocktails segment and kept it rather classy,” a source said, going on to say that William supported a local brand Pinkhouse Mustique by wearing one of its shirts.

William and Kate have often visited Mustique, where they stay at the Aurora House, which has three bedroom suites, a drawing room, a terrace and a plunge pool. The royals have enjoyed many activities while they are there, including tennis, snorkelling, and a shark dive that involved them going “very deep, more than 90ft.”

Beverly Hills jeweller Martin Katz and his wife Kelly met William and Kate during their 2015 vacation there, and they described the couple as ‘lovely’.

“I was standing at the [hotel] bar ordering one of the fancy drinks and Kate actually came up to the bar and was quite pleasant and chatty. She couldn’t be more friendly and more open,” Martin said.
