Bullying is a very serious issue that millions of young people all over the nation have to deal with every day. Paige Harker is one teenage girl who has been relentlessly bullied for years, and things got so bad that she started to dread going to school every day because of the torture that she knew would be inflicted on her there.

At one point, Paige was forced out of school for a month, but it wasn’t because of the physical abuse that she was enduring. Instead, the stress of all that she was going through had left her with terrible acne that caused her to be too ashamed to get up the nerve to walk back into school. Knowing that the acne would only make the bullying worse, Paige sacrificed her education rather than undergo the humiliation of being bullied.

Paige even considered dropping out of school, which would have put an end to her college dreams, but her mother Haley was not about to let her do that. Haley promised Paige that if she stayed in school, she would give her an incredible prom that would mark a celebration of her making it through high school.

“We had been counting down for about a year for Paige’s prom because it marked the end of five years of hell,” Haley said. “The night was a chance for her to say goodbye to her school for good.”

Haley knew how crucial prom was for her daughter. If it went badly, Paige might drop out and not be able to finish high school, but if it went well, it might be the catalyst that would carry her through the rest of school and see her apply to college.

Six months before prom, Haley hatched a plan to make Paige’s prom perfect. She ordered a custom made dress for her daughter, but she didn’t stop there!

Haley had a horse-drawn carriage come pick Paige up for the dance, and helped her daughter get a lavish makeover as well! Paige was given a manicure, eyelash extensions, and new shoes as well as other accessories.

In the end, Paige had a better prom than any of her bullies did. With a smile on her face, Paige got the last laugh and shut her bullies down for good!
