Prince William and Kate Middleton want nothing more than to give their three children a normal childhood. Sadly, regardless of what William and Kate try and do, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis will not have a childhood that resembles that of most other children in the world.

Despite this, William and Kate are still doing everything they can to make sure that their children’s lives are as normal as possible. Now, it’s been revealed that they are keeping a major secret from George in the hopes of maintaining a sense of normalcy for him.

George reportedly has no idea that he is third in line for the throne and will one day be king, because his parents have chosen not to inform him of this yet. They believe that keeping this secret will allow him to enjoy his childhood more and will stop him from getting a big head too early on in life.

Since he is only five years-old, William and Kate want to protect George from knowing of the pressures his future holds.

“There’ll be a time and a place to bring George up and understand how he fits in, in the world,” William said in a recent interview. “We are very normal.”
