Just when the hysteria of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding is dying down, the U.K. is gearing up for another royal wedding. Princess Eugenie, the granddaughter to Queen Elizabeth, will be marrying London socialite Jack Brooksbank in a few months.

The princess and her fiance have invited 1,200 members of the public to their October wedding that will take place on the grounds of Windsor Castle. Those wishing to attend must submit a ballot and have a U.K. address.

Those chosen will be able to watch the service from the grounds and see guests arrive at the chapel. They will be able to watch the carriage procession afterwards as well.

Princess Eugenie and Brooksbank started dating in 2010 while Eugenie was attending Newcastle University. The couple became engaged in Nicaragua in January. Princess Eugenie is the second daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah, the Duchess of York.

Brooksbank, 31, is the manager of the Kensington branch of the Mahiki nightclub, a venue that is popular with the younger generation of the royal family. He and Eugenie have a common ancestor that goes back to the 19th century.

The couple are third cousins once removed and are both descendants of the 19th century aristocrat Thomas William Coke, the second Earl of Leicester. This is not uncommon, especially given the relatively contained circles that British aristocracy has moved in.

Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, for example, are even more closely related and have a common ancestor in Queen Victoria.

To help your family and friends keep up with the royal happenings, be sure to share this story with them.
