U.S. Postal Service workers have a very hard job, and it is easy for them to often fall behind when it comes to delivering the mail. Some unscrupulous mail carriers sometimes go so hard as to hide undelivered mail so that their superiors do not realize how behind they are.
When cinematographer Douglas Thron saw a postal worker hanging around an area of town that he was not supposed to be in, he became suspicious and started following him, thinking that he was up to no good. It didn’t take long for Douglas to realize just how wrong he was!

Douglas was flying his drone above the wildfire-ravaged city of Santa Rosa, California, thinking that he would just record a scene of devastation. However, the drone ended up capturing a postal worker doing something amazing to bring the city back to life!
The footage shows the mailman driving his normal route through a burned out suburb, making regular stops to deliver the mail. Though many of the homes have been destroyed, their mailboxes still remain, and the postal worker is determined to continue delivering the mail!

The mailman has since been identified as Trevor Smith, and people everywhere are hailing him as the most dedicated postal worker in the nation! It turns out that the video was recorded on Pine Street, where a senior mobile home park is located. Many of the seniors knew Trevor personally and had asked him to continue delivering the mail even though their homes were gone.
