When Blake Shelton took a major fall early this month while performing at the Pendleton Whiskey Music Fest, you might not have seen him fall, but you’ve probably heard about it since. The reason why? Shelton took to Twitter to post about the tumble he took.
If you’ve been to any live concert, you know that stage falls are just one of the job hazards. There are cords, monitors, mic stands, and numerous other things scattered across the stage. It’s a surprise that it doesn’t happen more often.
But when Shelton tumbled on July 14 in Oregon, he tweeted right away requesting any fan videos of his fall. Then he jokingly blamed Pitbull who had been on stage right before his show. He had reportedly been showing off some killer dance moves and Shelton was trying to outdo them.

When he did get a video of the incident, he retweeted his fall in all of its clumsy glory. Some fans didn’t agree with Shelton’s tweets. Instead, they told him that he didn’t take his job seriously enough and accused him of drinking too much on the stage.
Shelton quickly replied that his account wasn’t for crybabies and is meant only for people who have a sense of humor. “We’re not accepting cry baby tweets today,” he said. “Maybe try again tomorrow!”
