Two anonymous police officers, now nicknamed Sergeant Modest and Officer Bashful, are being hailed as heroes for protecting the feet of a young boy from the hot summer pavement and serving him and his friends a cool treat in the process.
According to the Facebook post of the Tukwila Police Department in Washington, two policemen were patrolling in a local park when they saw a youngster wearing dirty, torn up socks and no shoes while playing.
They also spotted a large, bloodied cut on one of his feet. The officers stopped and asked the boy why he wasn’t wearing shoes and he replied that his shoes were too small for him to wear. The officers didn’t hesitate to jump in and help.

While one of the officers stayed with the boy and kept him company, the other officer went to the store and purchased him a new pair of shoes. He also brought several ice pops for all of them to enjoy. “Because what isn’t better than a cold popsicle on a hot summer day,” the post read.
One of the officers was photographed while tying the boy’s new shoes on his feet while the youngster enjoyed his sweet, cold treat. But to protect their bashfulness, the identities of the policemen haven’t been shared.

It’s no wonder why the policemen have garnered tons of praise on social media. Be sure to share this kind story of our men in blue with your family and friends. They deserve to be recognized for the generous actions.
