Parents everywhere love to take their children to the zoo to give them the opportunity to look at the animals and get educated about different species. It’s always fun to see how children react to all the animals living in the zoo. Bigger zoos tend to be the most fun, as they typically have a more diverse animal population for children to interact with.

Orangutans are an Asian species of extant great apes, and they are known for being very communicative with each other by using different sounds. When they become agitated, orangutans are known to suck air in through pursed lips and make either a kissing sound or blow raspberries. In the video below, however, you’ll see an orangutan have a very different reaction to a young visitor!
The mother in this video brought her baby to the Denver zoo to see all the animals there. When she stopped at the orangutan exhibit, she never expected one of the animals to react like this!

The video opens with the orangutan swinging on a rope before swinging right up to the glass to stare at the child. The orangutan proceeded to kiss the baby through the glass not just once, but numerous times! It’s clear that the orangutan shares an immediate bond with this child and wants to show off how much he loves him!
The mother was stunned to see how this animal reacted, but orangutans are actually known for showing signs of affection for humans that visit them.
