When 18-year-old Juliet Moore and her boyfriend Isaiah Cormier decided to take a weekend camping trip in the Ruby Gulch area of Colorado, they never expected their trip to take such a disastrous turn.

The two teenagers had just returned to their campsite for the night when it began to drizzle. Juliet and Isaiah then rushed to get all their camping gear put away so that it would not get wet.

Juliet had just made it back inside the tent when she saw a bright flash of light outside. Once it was gone, she screamed for Isaiah, but got no answer. Terrified, she poked her head outside the tent and immediately saw the unthinkable.

Juliet’s boyfriend had indeed been struck by lightning and had been left with a gaping wound in his neck. Without hesitating, Juliet leaped to action to try and save his life by turning him onto his back so she could feel for a pulse and heartbeat. Not feeling either, she began performing chest compressions and CPR, which she had only just learned weeks before.

Isaiah gasped after a few compressions, but he then stopped breathing again. Going into panic mode, Juliet just kept thinking, “You cannot go yet. I have too many things I want to do with you. You’re not allowed to leave me this soon.”

Finally, Isaiah woke up again, and Juliet was able to get enough cell service to call 911. After Juliet screamed for help, a nearby camper and his son rushed over to help her get Isaiah in the car so that they can rush him to the hospital.

Now fully recovered, Isaiah credits his girlfriend with saving his life! Find out more about their story in the video below, and SHARE this so your friends and family can see this as well!
