Shridhar Chillal has had the world’s longest fingernails for literally decades. He has been growing the nails on his left hand for more than 66 years, and finally decided he’d had enough.
The 82-year-old man flew from Pune to New York to have an official nail clipping ceremony done by Ripley’s Believe It or Not museum, where his nails we immortalized and put on display.
He has been the Guinness World Record holder for years and his fingernails have an estimated combined length of 909.6 centimeters.

The longest single fingernail is his thumbnail that measures in at a whopping 197.8 centimeters.
He made it into the Guinness Book of World Records in 2016 for having the Longest Fingernails on a Single Hand Ever. His fingernails exhibit will be unveiled at the Ripley’s Believe It or Not museum on Times Square in New York.
