A Bay Area couple is proof that Cupid can strike at any age. They are excited to share that they are both officially off the market after being struck by Cupid’s arrow.

Jaime Rodriguez and Luz Rivera met at the Town N’ Country senior center in 2017. They spent nearly every day together after their initial meeting and credits the senior citizen programs for helping them find love again.

One day after attending the “senior” prom together, Rodriguez popped the question to River and she excitedly said, “Off the market, yes!”

Rodriguez says his fiancée played hard to get to start with. He finally told her, “Honey, the train goes by one time. If you don’t get on it, you’re going to walk.”

That one statement was all it took to get her on board, so to speak. The couple has plans to travel to Puerto Rico soon. That’s where they are both from. They want to meet each others’ family.

Then they plan to get married sometime next year. “I think he needs me and I need him,” said Rivera.
