One lucky Massachusetts man says he had a strange feeling about a lottery drawing and that feeling led him to buy nine identical tickets. Those tickets resulted in a win of $900,000 when the numbers were finally drawn.

Robert Lundstedt says he bought four tickets at Trucchi’s Supermarket in West Bridgewater, but his gut feeling about the drawing led him to buy two more identical tickets at Quick Stop, two more tickets at The Corner Market, and one final ticket at Cumberland Farms for a total of nine identical tickets.

“I bought a Gatorade, gave her a five, and had some change,” Lundstedt said about his final ticket purchase. “I had the ticket in my pocket and I told her here, ‘just play this one time’ and he did.”

He gave one ticket to his son and another two his daughter. He kept seven of the tickets for himself. When he checked the newspaper Tuesday morning he discovered that all of his tickets matched the winning numbers, 1-7-11-26-30.

Lundstedt says he plans to use part of his $700,00o winnings to pay off his mortgage. His kids, Brian and Kristen, plan to use their winnings to pay off student loans.

“It’s not going to change too much for us,” said Lundstedt. “We’re pretty simple. Just have a little extra in savings.”

Sounds like he got very lucky! Proof that sometimes our gut instincts can be right on the mark. Be sure to check out the video below and share this remarkable story with your family and friends.
