Everyone needs a hug sometimes, and some golfers recently discovered that it isn’t just people who need hugs. The little gesture can go a long ways, but one golfer got a surprise when he got a hug from a baby bear.

The video footage below shows golfers standing their ground as a baby bear quickly runs across the grass headed towards the golfers. The golfers don’t want to scare the cub so they stand perfectly still as the curious cub runs right up to them.

Whatever the reason the baby ran to them we’ll never know, but he approaches one of the golfers and does a quick once over sniff before standing up and wrapping his paws around the sides of the golfer before getting back on all fours and running away.

The baby bear’s mother was nowhere to be seen, although we’re sure she wasn’t far away. We’ll bet that the golfers were wondering where she was the entire time the curious cub was checking them out.
