Martina Desjarlais is a mother who loves her culture and family history, so she wants to make sure her children are fully immersed in their Native Canadian heritage.

Martina has been sharing traditional songs and dances with her kids, so they are already ready to perform in powwows.

Martina recently took her 2 year-old son Albert to his first powwow, and he immediately stole the show by showing off all of the moves his mother has taught him! Luckily, Martina had her camera handy to capture Albert’s official debut.

Though he is only 2 years-old, Martina encouraged Albert to dance in a powwow in Camrose, Alberta, Canada. She was a bit nervous that he would not be able to handle the dance, but he quickly showed her that there was no reason to fear!

The video begins with Albert stomping his feet as he holds onto a tambourine and rattles it alongside the men dancing in the circle. His moves are so impressive that it’s no wonder this video went viral, as people all over the globe can’t get enough of Albert!

Albert is so good that he even puts some of the adult tribal leaders to shame! It’s clear that Albert has many powwows like this one ahead of him in his life. He’s lucky to have a mother who introduced him to this rich part of his culture so early in his life.

Check out Albert’s moves in the video below, and SHARE this story so your friends and family can see this as well!
