On Friday night, Toys R Us stores all over the nation closed for good. While this was a sad day for most of the workers at these stores, employees of one Toys R Us in Raleigh, North Carolina got to spend their final day of work doing something amazing for their community thanks to a mystery benefactor.

Employees at the store said that an anonymous person donated $1 million to buy up all the remaining toys in the store in order to donate them. This meant that the employees spent Friday handing out these toys to kids thanks to this mystery philanthropist!

This came as a huge surprise to shoppers who arrived at the Toys R Us hoping to purchase some of the remaining toys.

“Wow. Awesome man,” said customer George House.

“Oh wow, that’s nice,” said Vivian Smith.

Many tried to guess who this mysterious generous person is.

“Maybe it’s Bill Gates,” said customer Hailey Rawles, who also suggested Amazon could be behind it.

Others simply offered a message to the kindhearted stranger.

“I like the idea of donating the toys. That’s pretty rad,” said customer Dan Paulson.

“That’s great. I’d like to know who it is,” said customer Danyel Smith.

Our world so often seems like it’s dominated by negativity these days, so it’s refreshing to see someone do something so generous! We would just like to say God bless whoever this benefactor is, as we definitely need more people like this one in the world!
