Rocky doesn’t usually get involved much when his dad, Leendert Foppen, is working. His dad is a fireman, and most of his work is strenuous. Rocky has been taught to stay out of his dad’s way, but one night he just couldn’t resist.

This night, his dad and some of the other firefighters were hard at work on a residential street in the Dutch town of Harderwijk in the Netherlands. A tree had been damaged in a storm and the men were trying to pull it down.

A rope was tied around the trunk and while one man was cutting away the trunk with a chainsaw, other men were working to pull it down with the rope. It must have been a challenging task because no matter how hard they pulled, the tree didn’t want to budge.

A few seconds into the video of the event, and you can hear laughter over the sound of the chainsaw. You can’t really tell what they’re laughing at until the camera pans a little further down the rope. At the end, is Rocky, pulling with all of his might.

Maybe he just thought it looked like a good game of tug-of-war, or maybe he thought if he helped pull down the tree they’d go back to the firehouse and throw some steaks on the grill and he’d be lucky enough to get one too.

Whatever his motivation, the extra help must have did the trick. Just a few seconds later and the tree comes crashing down. This time it looks like Rocky was exactly the help the men needed to get the job done.
