It’s been over 20 years since Princess Diana passed away, but she is still beloved by millions of people all over the globe.

One of the most iconic moments of Diana’s love was her royal wedding to Prince Charles on July 29, 1981.

At her wedding, Diana wore a custom-made ivory silk tafetta gown by David and Elizabeth Emanuel that featured antique lace, sequins, hand embroidery, and 10,000 pearls. Another part of her outfit also garnered attention: the Spencer Tiara.

This headpiece had been in Diana’s family for years, ever since it was given to Diana’s grandmother, Lady Cynthia Hamilton when she married Albert, Viscount Althorp in 1919. Diana’s sisters, Lady Sarah and Jane, Baroness Fellowes, both wore it on their wedding days, as did her brother’s first wife, Victoria Lockwood.

Though the tiara has been seen at some exhibits since Diana’s death, it has never been worn publicly: until now.

Diana’s niece Celia McCorquodale wore the tiara when she married George Woodhouse on June 16.

The wedding was even attended by Harry and Meghan!

Meghan arrived at the wedding wearing a $5,490 long-sleeve blue and white floral print Oscar de La Renta dress that she paired with a white fascinator and the same heels she wore at her own wedding.

“Oh no sorry #MeghanMarkle this is not you… way too big!! Where has your lovely style gone ?” tweeted one user.

“I have tried giving her credit, but #MeghanMarkle simply cannot get it right. Here is “the thing” she was wearing this weekend. I am sure Mr Oscar de la Renta is turning in his grave…” wrote another.

While Meghan’s outfit was not quite the success she’d hoped, everyone loved Celia’s tiara!
