The former President Barack Obama humiliated Meghan Markle and Prince Harry over the weekend when he snubbed them by leaving them off the guest list for his 60th birthday bash.

Dickie Arbiter, a royal expert and former press spokesman for the Queen, spoke out afterwards to say that Meghan and Harry are simply not in the same league as the Obamas. The Express reported that Arbiter said that Meghan and Harry “were never even on the invite list.”

“There is nothing like a milestone birthday to figure out who your true friends are,” joked television host Karl Stefanovic, with his cohost Allison Langdon adding, “Meghan and Harry have not been invited to President Obama’s birthday bash, is that a surprise?”

“It is not a surprise at all. There was speculation they would be invited but I don’t think they were ever even on the list,” Arbiter replied. “The Obamas have invited not just A-listers but the double A-listers.”

“They have said that Barack doesn’t want any presents, what he wants is guests to donate to help young men get on the work ladder, particularly young people of color,” he continued. “You are talking about Oprah Winfrey, the Clooneys, and Rihanna. Meghan and Harry are just not in that same league of celebrity. They are not double A-listers.”

Obama’s birthday bash took place in Martha’s Vineyard on Saturday night, and it was attended by many A-list celebrities.

This comes after royal expert Daniela Elser warned that Meghan and Harry’s “novelty value” is “no longer quite what it once might have been” in the United States after more than a year of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“When they landed in Los Angeles in March last year their value as a highly bankable, rare commodity was peaking,” Elser said, according to The Express. “Their brand was on the ascendant.”

“Their arrival in the US collided with the advent of the coronavirus pandemic, snuffing out a lot of the momentum around their arrival in the States,” she continued.”They might have been ready and open for business but the nation was not. Fast forward to this year and with the US reopening and life returning to normal and something of the novelty value of a real-life Duke and Duchess in Tinseltown’s midst is no longer quite what it once might have been.”
