Mildred Wilson, age 81, just finished her second Tough Mudder obstacle course race, which “tests your physical and mental boundaries.”
According to their website, “Tough Mudder is a place for you to push your physical and mental limits without the pressure of competition. A community built on teamwork and overcoming obstacles, where stepping outside your comfort zone is the reward.”
Mildred entered her first Tough Mudder competition in May 2019 after her son suggested she try the muddy event.
Her son, husband, and other relatives and friends were on hand to cheer her on.
Mildred referred to her husband Farrell as “my best supporter.” She continued, “Anything I decide to do, he pretty much let’s me do it.”
She ran this year in memory of her late spouse, who died last year.
The organization wrote on Instagram, “The update you’ve all been waiting for: 81-year-old Mildred Wilson crushed her second Tough Mudder.”
Mildred, you’ve done a fantastic job!
