The 56 year-old supermodel Paulina Porizkova took to Instagram on Tuesday to show off her age-defying body in her “favorite” bikini.
“A vacation pick: doing my best impersonation of a wood pillar,” she wrote in the caption of the incredible photo. “In a string bikini. This one is probably about five years old, but it’s become a recent favorite. This is why I hold on to all my clothing, I always seem to like it better a few years down the line. When it’s not longer fashionable or worn by everyone.”

Porizkova has become known for posting filter-free images and for taking a stand against ageist critics.
“I think we’ve made enormous strides in accepting all different sorts of beauty; I think size and color and all of these things that used to be so uniform now have broadened to a pretty spectacular [degree],” Porizkova recently told Page Six Style. “But age, ageism, that’s kind of like the last frontier.”
Porizkova added that she’s happy she never contributed to the dark side of Instagram, which has seen users be pressured to filter their faces and bodies to perfection.
“Oh my God, the damage it’s doing is unbelievable,” she lamented. “All these young girls look to those pictures and don’t necessarily know that it’s not real. Being immersed in that world … how inspiring is it to only see something that’s so out of your reach?”
Sadly, even Porizkova has encountered a few internet haters along the way, but she hasn’t let this get her down.
“It’s not the men that are the worst critics, which is really interesting,” she said. “[It’s] all the women my age going, ‘You’re desperate, you’re hungry, why don’t you just retire and take care of your children and your household?’”
Porizkova hasn’t let this phase her because she feels that sexy has no expiration date.
