Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck shocked the world last month when they rekindled their romance seventeen years after they broke off their engagement. Now, sources are coming forward to reveal what their respective exes think about this rekindled romance.

“J.Lo and Ben are both really focused on the health and well-being of their families, especially J.Lo, given her recent breakup with Alex Rodriguez,” one source told Entertainment Tonight. “J.Lo and Ben are taking things day by day. They both make each other laugh a lot and smile and they are really focused on trying to bring the best out of each other.”

The source went on to say that Lopez’s children “just want their mom to be happy. They are in full support of whatever that may entail. Her kids always had a great time with A-Rod and he was very inclusive, supportive, and sensitive to their needs.”

The insider added that Lopez “will always have a space in her heart for A-Rod, but at this point, she has moved on.”

Lopez’s ex-husband Marc Antony, who is the father of her twins, the source said, ” Marc just wants Jen to be happy and fulfilled. His main concern is the well-being of J.Lo and their kids. As long as Ben keeps her and their kids happy, he has Marc’s stamp of approval.”

Then there’s Affleck’s ex-wife Jennifer Garner, who is the mother of his three children that he was married to from 2005 until 2018.

“Jen Garner is accepting of Ben and there is no animosity,” a second source said. “As long as Ben stays on track and keeps the situation healthy, especially regarding the kids, then Jen is happy.”

The person who seems to be having the most trouble with the situation is Rodriguez, with a third source saying that he would still be with Lopez if he had his way.

“It was definitely her call to end it,” the source said. “He would have loved for it to keep going.”

This insider added that Rodriguez was “shocked” to hear that Lopez had gotten back with Affleck.

“Alex understands that Jennifer is single, but felt shocked by [her and Affleck’s] quick meetup,” the source said. “At the end of the day, Alex wants Jennifer to be happy, but the way everything has unfolded doesn’t sit well with him.”

Affleck and Lopez first started dating in 2002 and became engaged the next year, regularly making headlines in the tabloids at the time under the couple name “Bennifer.” They ended their engagement in January of 2004.
