Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s recent antics has led to the royal family “coming together and distancing” themselves from the couple, according to a royal expert.

“I think without a doubt the Royal Family are growing increasingly fed up with the behaviour of Meghan and Harry, and also British public opinion is turning firmly against Meghan and Harry as well,” said royal commentator Nile Gardiner, according to The Telegraph.

“You’re seeing the Royal Family really closing ranks here,” he added. “Without a doubt, I think that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have behaved in a less than exemplary fashion in recent months, launching a series of direct attacks against the monarchy and of course, the Queen is the head of the monarchy.”

“So I think the feeling within the Royal Family is that the behavior of Meghan and Harry leaves much to be desired,” Gardiner continued, going on to add that we’re seeing “the Royal Family coming together and distancing” themselves from Harry and Meghan.

Over the past few months, Meghan and Harry have given a series of interviews trashing the British royal family. For example, Harry used his mental health docuseries The Me You Can’t See to attack his father Prince Charles’ parenting skills.

“My father used to say to me when I was younger, he used to say to [Prince] William and I, ‘Well, it was like that for me, so it’s gonna be like that for you.’ That doesn’t make sense,” Harry said. “Just because you suffered, it doesn’t mean that your kids have to suffer. In fact, quite the opposite. If you suffered, do everything you can to make sure that whatever experiences, negative experiences that you had, you can make it right for your kids.”

A royal source said that Charles was livid about the series.

“Charles is boiling with anger and feels tortured by Harry with his constant digs. He wishes he’d just let it drop,” the insider explained. “The general consensus within the royal family is to ignore Harry’s behavior, to avoid fanning the flames, but Charles is finding it hard to hold back. He really wants to defend himself.”
