Fans have been stunned in the past few days to see that Hollywood star Ben Affleck has been spending time with his ex-fiancé Jennifer Lopez in the wake of her split from Alex Rodriguez. Now, a source has come forward to reveal how Affleck’s ex-wife Jennifer Garner is reacting to this.

“Jen isn’t bothered by Ben hanging out with J.Lo or anyone else,” the source told Entertainment Tonight. “She wants what is best for Ben.”

The source went on to say that when it comes to Affleck, Garner has other priorities that she’s focusing on.

“What matters most to her is Ben being a great dad,” the source explained. “They’ve been in a good groove when it comes to co-parenting for a while and their kids’ happiness is Jen’s main priority.”

Garner and Affleck were married in 2005, and they separated in 2015 before finalizing their divorce in 2018. They are parents to three children: Violet, 15, Seraphina, 12, and Samuel, 9.

Affleck and Lopez were engaged from 2002 until 2004, and they made headlines often during that time. They have reportedly seen each other a few times since Lopez’s engagement to Rodriguez was called off.

“Jen and Ben have remained friends over the years and the two are still just that – friends,” another source said.

“They obviously have a romantic history, but at this point they only have a friendship,” this insider added. “They both admire each other professionally, respect one another and feel comfortable with each other.”

Page Six reported that Affleck has actually visited Lopez at her home three times in the past few weeks.

“Security picks him up at a nearby location and drops him off after spending a few hours at her house,” a source told the outlet.

A source previously said that Lopez has made it a point to stay friendly with various exes of hers, especially Marc Anthony.

“J. Lo makes it a point to have cordial relationships, especially with Marc, since he is the father of her children,” an insider said.

Affleck recently spoke out to praise Lopez in an interview with InStyle Magazine.

“I don’t know whether people know it or not, but the most impressive thing about her (and that is a long list) was her extraordinary work ethic,” he said. “She had this humility coupled with the basic assumption that not only did you have to work incredibly hard to succeed, you had to then push yourself even further.”

“I thought I had a good work ethic, but I was completely humbled and blown away by what she was committed to doing day in and day out, the seriousness in which she took her work, the quiet and dedicated way she went about accomplishing her goals, and then how she would go back and redouble her efforts,” Affleck continued. “She remains, to this day, the hardest-working person I’ve come across in this business. She has great talent, but she has also worked very hard for her success, and I’m so happy for her that she seems, at long last, to be getting the credit she deserves.”
