Americans everywhere were shocked earlier this month when rumors swirled that Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck had rekindled their romance seventeen years after they broke off their engagement. Now, it’s been confirmed that the two are officially back together!

“Jen and Ben are both very happy with each [other] and are excited to see where the relationship goes,” an insider told US Weekly. “They are full-on dating and very happy together.”

Lopez, 51, and Affleck, 48, were first spotted spending time together again at the end of April, just days after she called off her engagement to baseball star Alex Rodriguez. Earlier this month, Lopez and Affleck jetted off to Big Sky, Montana for a romantic getaway together.

“It was Ben’s idea to go to Montana, a place he absolutely loves, and they had a wonderful time there just snuggling up and being together without any pressure,” a source said at the time.

On Monday of this week, Lopez and Affleck were seen working out together at a gym in Miami, and witnesses reportedly saw them kissing in between their sets.

“Ben and Jen feel so close to each other very quickly,” the first insider continued. “The old flame is absolutely rekindled. They picked up where they left off in terms of affection for each other.”

Lopez and Affleck met in 2001 and became engaged the next year before breaking up in 2004.

“They have always remained close friends and that is the basis for their relationship,” the source explained. “They both respect and trust each other. Ben and Jen are also very attracted to one another.”

In February of last year, Affleck revealed in an interview that he’d kept in touch with Lopez over the years.

“I keep in touch periodically with her and have a lot of respect for her,” he told The New York Times. “How awesome is it that she had her biggest hit movie at 50? That’s f—king baller.”

Affleck also praised Lopez earlier this year, jokingly asking where she keeps “the fountain of youth.”

“She remains, to this day, the hardest-working person I’ve come across in this business,” he said last month. “She has great talent, but she has also worked very hard for her success, and I’m so happy for her that she seems, at long last, to be getting the credit she deserves.”
