Last month, we reported that the reality television star Josh Duggar was arrested in Arkansas on child pornography charges. Now, chilling new details about the case are coming to light as the 33 year-old is being released on bail.

Entertainment Tonight reported that after Duggar’s lawyers argued that prosecutors had not provided “clear and convincing evidence” to keep him in custody, a judge ruled that he will be released on Thursday. However, he will not be allowed to go home to his pregnant wife Anna and their six children, as he will instead be released to a third party custodial couple, who are family friends.

Chilling details about the allegations against Duggar came to light during a hearing on Wednesday. Agent Gerald Faulkner explained that the Department of Homeland Security seized his devices in March of 2020, and that they found multiple torrent files downloaded that were “a series of child sexual abuse material involving minor children ranging from about 18 months of age to 12 years of age.”

“And I can say in 11 years of doing this and the thousands and thousands of child pornography images and videos I’ve had unfortunately to see, the … series ranks in the top five of the worst of the worst that I’ve ever had to examine,” Faulkner said. “Multiple child pornography files were … found in a recently viewed folder, meaning that the user had unzipped those torrent files and had viewed them on the desktop.”

He added that “approximately over 200 images that were flagged as child sexual abuse material involving naked minors engaging in sexual activity were located” on “unallocated space” on Duggar’s computer.

Duggar has plead not guilty to all charges against him.

“Josh Duggar has been charged in a two-count indictment. He has pled not guilty to both charges and we intend to defend this case aggressively and thoroughly,” his lawyers said in a statement. “In this country, no one can stop prosecutors from charging a crime. But when you’re accused, you can fight back in the courtroom — and that is exactly what Josh intends to do.”

Duggar’s parents Jim Bob and Michelle also released a statement.

“We appreciate your continued prayers for our family at this time. The accusations brought against Joshua today are very serious,” the couple said. “It is our prayer that the truth, no matter what it is, will come to light, and that this will all be resolved in a timely manner. We love Josh and Anna and continue to pray for their family.”
