It’s been a month since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle gave their explosive tell-all interview to Oprah Winfrey, but the ripple effects are still being felt from it both in the royal family and around the globe. Now, new details are coming out about the alleged conversation that Prince William had with Harry after the interview aired, and their talk reportedly did not go so well.

“The conversation Harry and William had after the big interview didn’t end well,” an insider told US Weekly of the brothers, who “haven’t seen each other for over a year,” since Harry stepped down as a senior royal. He has since moved across the world to the ritzy area of Montecito, California, where he lives in a mansion with A-list star neighbors along with his wife and their 22 month-old son Archie.

William has watched from across the world as his younger brother takes on a Hollywood lifestyle, and he as not been pleased by what he’s seen.

“William feels that Harry has gotten too big for his boots since moving to California — that success and Hollywood have gone to his head,” the source added. “He’s already accused [Harry] of putting fame over family after the big interview.”

This came after Harry made a series of shocking claims about himself and his family in his interview with Oprah, who incidentally is one of his A-list neighbors in California.

“I was trapped, but I didn’t know I was trapped,” Harry said of his royal upbringing. “My father [Prince Charles] and my brother, they are trapped. They don’t get to leave. And I have huge compassion for that.”

William and Harry are scheduled to reunite this summer at an unveiling of a statue of their late mother Princess Diana at Kensington Palace. The source claimed that while “William is insisting” to see his younger brother before the special event, Harry “is refusing to meet up” and “won’t be bossed around.”

“If Harry acts out on the day or even worse, doesn’t show up, William will never, ever forgive him,” the insider continued.

This comes after royal expert Anna Pasternak explained to Fox News that the royal family hasn’t contacted Meghan since the interview because they don’t trust that she won’t leak their conversations to the press.

“They don’t trust her,” Pasternak claimed. “They don’t trust that if they do get in touch with her, that’s not going to be reported through CBS. You can’t go on international television, have an audience of nearly 50 million people globally, basically trash the royal family, and then expect them to reach out in good faith. It just won’t work. It would be naïve to think that this interview would prompt the royal family to instantly think, ‘Our institution is all wrong. We’re completely out of date. We need you to help us modernize.’”

“Well, that was never going to happen,” she continued. “The reason the British royal family – the House of Windsor – has survived is because they have been quite ruthless in their survival mode and they’ve stuck to the same traditions and protocols. Harry acknowledged that when he said ‘My brother and my father are trapped’ because he knows nothing is going to change.”
