The Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is preparing to guest host “Jeopardy!” this coming week, and he could not be more excited about it.

With Rodgers set to start his guest hosting stint on Monday, the official “Jeopardy!” Instagram account posted a promo clip in which the football player explained that this game show was his “favorite show” growing up.

“Other than the Super Bowl, this is the honor of a lifetime,” he said.

“Following in the footsteps of a legend is something I know a little bit about,” Rodgers said, referring to the fact that he followed in the footsteps of former Packers quarterback Brett Favre, and is now following in the footsteps of the late great “Jeopardy!” host Alex Trebek.

The clip then revealed that while guest hosting, Rodgers will be raising money for small businesses, with money earned by the contestants matched by the North Valley Community Foundation.

Rodgers is the latest in a slew of guest hosts that have been hosting “Jeopardy” in the wake of the death of Trebek, who passed away back in November at the age of 80 following a battle with pancreatic cancer. Other guest hosts have included Ken Jennings, Katie Couric, and Dr. Mehmet Oz, who guest hosted his last episode on Friday.

Rodgers recently talked to ESPN about how he prepared for his two-week run as guest host after was a contestant on “Celebrity Jeopardy!” back in 2015.

“I watched hours and hours and hours of episodes,” Rodgers said. “Luckily Netflix has a few seasons, and I went back to DVR. But I had to watch from a different perspective — from Alex’s perspective. I couldn’t watch it as a fan anymore.”

“I took pages and pages and pages of notes. I wrote down every affirmative that he said to any type of clue. I wrote down how he would respond if they didn’t get it right. I wrote down beat points of the show. I wrote down all the different ways he would take it to break. I wrote down the stuff that he said coming out of break,” he continued. “Literally, I studied for this like no other. I wanted to absolutely just crush it.”
