In a new interview, the Hollywood star Kate Winslet opened up about her bond with her Titanic costar Leonardo DiCaprio.

Winslet, 45, told Rolling Stone that while filming the 1997 movie, she and DiCapio, 46, traded sex tips with each other. She also described their steamy sex scene that took place in the Renault touring car as “nice.”

Winslet explained that she and DiCaprio would laugh at gossip columns that were claiming that they were a couple.

“Just the notion of that was insane it would have been absolutely like incest,” she said. “I have the relationship with Leo that all the women in the world would envy.”

During their downtime, the costars would talk about intimate details about sex in DiCaprio’s trailer. Winslet was vague about what they talked about specifically, however.

“You know, some very, very personal things, asking each other for advice,” she said. “Not necessarily comparing notes but sort of, ‘No, don’t do it like that, do it like this.’ He’s very good at that. I have to say, a lot of those sexual tips he’s given me have worked. And I know it’s vice versa.”

Winslet did say that the tips that they exchanged were “too despicable” and “really graphic.”

Later in the interview, Winslet said that she actually found filming their sex scene to be enjoyable, despite the fact that she saw DiCaprio as a family member.

“Doing that scene, it so wasn’t us. And yet we were so locked into what all that had to be about. The Rose in me was really sort of loving the Jack in him, actually,” Winslet said. “And even though I didn’t feel that way about Leo, it was quite nice to sort of feel that way in the scene. It was quite lovely.”

She added that DiCaprio had gotten up right away and walked off once the camera stopped rolling.

“And I remember lying there thinking, ‘What a shame that’s over.’ Because it was quite nice,” she recalled.

This comes days after Winslet opened up about the career slump she suffered after Titanic.

“I was playing an American for the first time. And working with Leo, who I’d seen in ‘[What’s Eating] Gilbert Grape’ and ‘Basketball Diaries.’ So it was like, ‘Oh, my God, I’m Kate from Reading,’” she explained, according to Fox News. “I was the overweight girl who would always be at the end of the line. And because my name was a W, sometimes I wouldn’t even get in the door of the audition because they’d run out of time before the Ws. And I was in ‘Titanic.’ It’s mad.”
