Over the past year in quarantine, the Hollywood star George Clooney has become an experienced barber while he’s been home with his wife, Amal Clooney, and their 3-year-old twins, Ella and Alex. One person in the family, however, will not be getting a haircut from Clooney anytime soon.

Though Clooney has admitted that he’s been cutting his own hair for 25 years, he says his wife Amal won’t let him cut his daughter’s hair.

“We haven’t cut [my daughter’s hair], it’s down to here, it looks gorgeous,” Clooney told W Magazine. “I don’t mess with her hair. I would get in trouble if I did. My wife would kill me.”

Clooney went on to joke about what it’s been like to be a dad during COVID-19.

“I’ll tell you what I’ve taken on as a hobby, two or three loads of laundry a day,” he quipped. “Dishes all f**king day because these kids are all slobs. Apparently you have to wash them every once in awhile.”

Clooney also looked back at some of his first TV acting roles, including “The Golden Girls,” “Murder She Wrote” and “The Facts of Life.”

“I had a mullet on ‘The Facts of Life’,” Clooney recalled of his time on the 1980s program. “I danced and flirted with Jo (Nancy McKeon). I was on it for a season and a half, I guess. And then they said ‘thank you,’ and they had enough.”

Back in November, Clooney opened up about how Amal and their twins changed his life.

“There is no question that having Amal in my life changed everything for me,” he said. “It was the first time that everything that she did and everything about her was infinitely more important than anything about me.”

“And then we had these two knuckleheads,” Clooney added, referring to his twins. “It is very fulfilling and something I wasn’t at all… didn’t see coming.”

Clooney met Amal in 2013 and married her one year later in a lavish Italian wedding. Despite this, he revealed in his new interview that they initially had no plans to marry.

“We never talked about marriage when we were dating,” he said. “I asked her out of the blue, took her a long time to say yes. I was on my knee for like 20 minutes, I finally said, ‘Look, I’m gonna throw my hip out.’ ”

“We never talked about having kids, and then one day we just said, ‘What do you think?’ ” Clooney continued. “We go to the doctor and you do the ultrasound. They’re like, ‘You got a baby boy!’ and I was like, ‘Baby boy, fantastic!’ And they go, ‘And you got another one there.’ I was up for one. Again, I’m old. All of a sudden, it’s two. It’s hard to get me to not talk and I just stood there for like 10 minutes just staring at this piece of paper going, ‘What? Two?'”

These days, however, Clooney is “so glad” that his twins have each other.

“It’s unbelievable,” the actor said.
