Summer is finally here, which means millions of Americans are getting back outside for barbecues with family and friends. Now, a corn on the cob recipe is going viral, and it’s sure to be a huge hit among your loved ones!

Donald Boling posted a video to YouTube in which the process of making this corn was explained.

“This video describes how to make perfect corn on the cob. No need to watch any burners or anything,” Boling said.

All you need to make this is a plastic cooler, corn on the cob, three sticks of butter, salt, and three pots of boiling water.

First, shuck the corn and snap each ear in half. Then, add room temperature water to the cooler and throw in the corn. Spread the corn around so that the bottom of the cooler is covered. Once you have done this, add three sticks of butter and a generous amount of salt and then add the boiling water to the cooler. Shut the lid and let it stand for 30 minutes, then drain all the water, and the corn is all done! It’s as simple as that!

Since the corn is insulated in the cooler, it will stay hot for around two hours. The recipe has been a huge hit among YouTube users.

“This corn comes out perfect! Change nothing, just do as the video says,” one commenter wrote.

“We have done this for when we are going tailgating at a football game,” another added. “We prep before the drive there, then as we are going the water salt, butter, old bay, all swish around on the drive. When you get to your parking spot, you have fresh cooked corn to eat while you’re waiting on the grill to fire up and do the other food.”
