Sean “Diddy” Combs is in a giving mood this holiday season. On Tuesday, The 51-year-old music mogul was spotted handing out $50 bills in the Miami neighborhood of Overton while hundreds gathered around, as reported by the DAILY MAIL 

The event was set up through Diddy’s charitable foundation to help the struggling residence of Overton who, like so many across the world, are facing difficult times due to the COVID pandemic.

Standing with him were his children who assisted in offering coronavirus relief in the forms of cash, grocery store gift cards, and bags full of hygiene supplies.

Acting in compliance with health and safety recommendations, the three-time Grammy winner wore a clear plastic face shield as well as gloves while distributing the donations and greeting fans and families in the crowd.

Additionally, Mr. Combs’ charitable organization is working with festival and nightlife organizer Michael Gardener and the group ‘Teens Exercising Extraordinary Success’ to provide rental assistance to 175 families in Miami.

Mr. Combs is renown for his incredible New Year’s Eve parties he throws every year in Miami. Boasting an impressive all-star guest list which has included the likes of DJ Khaled, Mary J. Blige, Fat Joe, and Meek Mill. But the day before his event in Overton, he posted a message to his 17 million followers on Instagram stating the annual bash would be cancelled this year due to concerns over the coronavirus:

The “I’ll Be Missing You” rapper was heavily criticized for his massive November birthday bash he threw for himself at a mansion on Turks & Caicos, which is likely a big reason he has decided to cancel this year’s event.

His charitable efforts in Miami follow his lavish celebration of his mother’s 80^th birthday. The star gifted mother Janice with a brand new Bentley, complete with personal driver, as well as a check for $1 million dollars.

Posting to Instagram, the doting son wrote: “I only exist because of this beautiful, hardworking, loving, hilarious, a — whooping, always telling me the truth, genuine, smart, fly absolutely amazing Black Goddess Queen!!
