As Meghan Markle and Prince Harry prepare to celebrate their first Christmas in their new mansion in Montecito, California, reports are coming in stating that they just bought their tree!

Social media user @imaJaaaaaames claimed to have spotted Meghan and Harry at an unnamed tree barn.

“Meghan and Prince Harry came into my work today and we sold them their Christmas Tree,” tweeted @imaJaaaaaames. “We had our lot empty when they got there – their agent promoted them a good time to come instead of us shutting it down. There was one family in there and their stoked little son ran through trees up to Harry and asked if he worked here not knowing who that is.”

This comes weeks after it was revealed that Meghan and Harry would not be going back to the United Kingdom for Christmas, as the coronavirus pandemic has made international travel too difficult. A source told Entertainment Tonight that it is “fully anticipated that [Meghan and Harry] be at home in California and not be in the U.K. for Christmas.”

Another source said that despite reports claiming that Harry would be visiting the U.K. before the end of 2020, the couple are “not returning anytime soon.”

“Things can obviously change, if there’s a concern about family health, but they are not hopping over the pond anytime imminently,” the source said, adding that the royals are sticking to strict “social isolation guidelines” amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The royal family is said to be particularly “disappointed” that they will not get to see Harry’s 1 year-old son Archie during the holidays.

Earlier this week, Queen Elizabeth announced that she would be breaking her decades-long tradition of spending Christmas at her Sandringham estate. Instead, the Queen and her husband, Prince Philip, will be celebrating Christmas at Windsor Castle, where they have been isolating for months during the pandemic.

“Having considered all the appropriate advice, the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh have decided that this year they will spend Christmas quietly in Windsor,” Buckingham Palace said in a statement.

It has yet to be reported where Harry’s older brother Prince William and his family will be celebrating Christmas.
