An elderly couple recently celebrated their sixtieth wedding anniversary in perhaps the most adorable way possible by wearing the original outfits that they got married in.

Lucille and Marvin Stone are a couple from Kearney, Nebraska who met while they were each teaching high school. They went on to get married on August 21, 1960, and they’re just as love today as they were sixty years ago!

These days, Marvin is 88, while Lucille is 81. Since their wedding, they have gone on to have three children, six grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren

Wanting to celebrate their six decades of marriage, the Stones contacted the photographer Katie Autry and asked if she would photograph them in their original wedding outfits. She was all too happy to oblige!

“I had the pleasure of working with Marvin and Lucille to celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary . This may be one of my favorite sessions to date,” Autry wrote on Facebook. “These two lovebirds even wore their original wedding attire for the session (Lucille made her dress)!”

The photographer went on to add, “When I asked them both what their secret to a lasting marriage was they had the following advice:

1. Work hard
2. Be kind to one another
3. Think before you speak
4. Rely on each others strengths to overcome your weakness
5. Stay strong in your faith”

“What an amazing example these two are of true love standing the test of time. I am so glad to have met them, and honored to have captured these memories for them,” Autry concluded. “Happy Anniversary Marvin and Lucille!”

Lucille told Insider that she and her husband had a blast posing for the photos.

“Katie really is smart in how she tells you to stand and how to turn your head and all of these things,” she said. “I think that’s why she got some rather unique pictures, instead of just a couple standing there.”

It was a fun experience for Autry as well.

“Weddings are not my main part of my photography business, but I really was trying to re-create wedding photos for them,” she explained.

We would like to wish Marvin and Lucille a happy anniversary, and. may they have many more to come!
