“Dancing With The Stars” had its season finale after a season that many would say was wrought with controversy after supermodel Tyra Banks was brought in as host to replace Tom Bergeron, who was abruptly fired from the show back in July despite having hosted it since it premiered back in 2005.

Since then, many fans have been begging for Bergeron to be brought back, arguing that Banks has made many mistakes as host and that she is not nearly as talented as her predecessor. They’ve even launched viral petitions demanding that Banks be fired and Bergeron be brought back as host.

After the finale on Monday, Banks was asked if she will be returning to the ballroom next season, and her answer came as a surprise to many.

“I don’t know. We shall see! I don’t know,” she told Entertainment Tonight of her possible return. “I had a good time. We’ll see.”

Banks also admitted that she would do some things differently if she were to come back as host, with many of the changes pertaining to her approach to fashion. Throughout this season, Banks had 23 costume changes, which led to some chaotic moments for her.

“Toward the end [of the season] we realized we had to write down [the steps of outfit changes]. It’s written down, so they’re yelling it to me as we go,” she admitted. “There were a couple of instances where I was holding my clothes up and hosting live TV and not everybody necessarily knew that.”

“Another thing is more comfy shoes,” Banks added. “I had my second and third toe go numb on me for five days after last week’s outfit because those shoes were not comfy.”

Despite the backlash she received from fans who missed Bergeron, Banks claimed that this season was a success.

“We broke a lot of records when it comes to the ratings for this show. And yes, there was change, but the change meant hell of a lot of big ratings,” Banks said. “In the end, this is a business and that’s what matters, making sure that people are coming and that new people are coming.”
